David Ellis lives on his L S Ranch located outside of Porterville, California near Fountain Springs in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills. It is part of the "oak belt" which runs from Tejon Ranch at the southern edge of the San Joaquin Valley along the east side of the valley to Mount Shasta. It is prime cattle country with excellent terrain which Dave uses to study , learn, and practice Pat Parelli’s horse-man-ship principles.
David teaches clinics using Pat Parelli's Savvy System, and all clinics are arranged by his coordinator or by hosts of contract clinics. During the week he usually spends his time playing with his own horses, and he just loves when folks drop by for a visit. Directions to L S Ranch
Coming from north exit from hwy 99 east onto hwy 190. Travel easterly to Hwy 65. Turn south and continue past Porterville to the small town of Ducor. Turn east or left and go about 7 miles to Fountain Springs. Continue on past Fountain Springs 3 miles (towards California Hot Springs yes there is a hot springs there) . Just past the small Spanish style house on the right, take the next entry and turn in at the pole post entry on your right with the American flag and mailbox stating 31315.
Coming from the south, go north on Hwy 99 just past Bakersfield exit onto Porterville Hwy or hwy 65. Go North 38 miles to the first stop light which is at Ducor. Turn east or right and go about 7 miles to Fountain Springs. Continue on past Fountain Springs 3 miles (towards California Hot Springs yes there is a hot springs there). Just past the small Spanish style house on the right, take the next entry and turn in at the pole post entry on your right with the American flag and mailbox stating 31315.
